I have always loved this bank. I have been with them for many years. Have done 2 personal loans with them to consolidate some debt and both times when completing the loan I was told I had to sign up for their life and disability insurance on the loan in case something happens then the loan would be covered. This charges a certain percentage of your principle each month to be added to the loan. I am on my second loan with them and entering this information into excel to help me keep track of my balances better I found the math was not math-ing. Their %'s are are either not the same each month or they are talking them from a number other than the current principle. I did some research and found in fact that I do not and did not have to sign up for this feature. I was lied to and tricked into this both times and after calling the bank to ask this be taken off I asked why I was told this was a requirement on personal loans when I signed up. Instead of any type of answer or even an apology, the lady tells me I will not be getting a refund. I didn't ask for a refund I asked for a reason. Made me so mad. They have always been so nice here but after finding out I was misled into paying more money on top of the interest rate I am paying and then the banker catching at attitude with me getting defensive over their deceptive practices, I will not be banking here much longer. Completely uncalled for when they were the ones that did something wrong in the first place.

Been Banking with Shell Federal Credit Union for over 8 years and have not once been any service to me or my Company. Poor attitude at the Tellar line and poor communication and unclear policys. They truly do not care about there customers and only care about the amount of people they can sign up and never follow up with the support. They want to hold your money for even given reason and constantly hold my Company financial back and almost impossible to get a banker involved asap on issues that may delay my company.

I am extremely dissatisfied after being a member for four years. I made a mobile deposit last night and was informed that the funds were available immediately. Today, I received a call stating that half of the deposit would be placed on hold until January 30th. I have never had a returned or problematic check, and I also have multiple direct deposits regularly coming into my account. What made this situation worse was the interaction with Karen, who was abrupt and dismissive. I was treated as though my long-standing relationship and positive account history did not matter. This experience has significantly damaged my trust. As soon as time permits, I plan to close my accounts, transfer my auto and move my banking relationship primarily to my second financial institution as loyalty and history isn’t a factor here.

I am extremely upset and frustrated with how Shell Federal has handled my account. I have repeatedly attempted to contact Shell specifically Jacqueline, the supervisor assigned to my case with no success. I called on Monday and was told my situation would be escalated to a supervisor and that Jacqueline would contact me. I never received a call. I called again on Tuesday for an update and was told she was busy and would return my call later that day. It is now Sunday, and I still have not received any communication. I have been a member of Shell Federal for years and expected a much higher level of service. It is extremely frustrating to feel as though my account and my concerns are not being taken seriously. I would like this matter escalated to a higher level of management. I am requesting a call back as soon as possible so that my account and this situation can be properly addressed. This matter has been pending for several days and is of high importance to me. I would greatly appreciate someone from upper-level management contacting me promptly to discuss and resolve this issue.

Every time I visit, I am greeted and immediately helped. The person that helps is ALWAYS so polite, kind, efficient and wonderful. They have done so much for me and my family.
