They don't take banking seriously. Keep you on hold forever just to pick up the phone and place you back on hold. My card initiated a fraud alert. I received the text msg, confirmed it was me, still had to call the fraud department, they lifted it, my card is active but still declining transactions. Can't use it. Can't get them to answer to fix it. Additionally I had a disputes that was approved in January. Here we are in March now and they still haven't credit it. Luckily it was only $24 but this is why they could never be my primary bank. After finally calling back I was advised to contact the merchant who ofcourse said contact my bank so no real resolution was provided there however Judith was the one to answer the phone so I informed her that an email was sent to her to check the dispute. After placing me on hold she came back, apologized, said it was overlooked, and will credit the account today. We shall see.

I reached out to United Energy Credit Union to refinance my current auto loan with Shell Federal Credit Union (48-month term at 3.99%). After reviewing my information, they ran my credit and told me I was approved for refinancing up to a 72-month term at 3.49%. They emailed me an approval notice listing the required documents and even asked me to open a membership with a $25 deposit, which I did. Two weeks later, I was informed that they “made a mistake” and couldn’t actually offer a longer term than my current loan. This is extremely unprofessional. Not only did they provide false information, but they also ran a hard credit inquiry and now refuse to remove it even though the error was entirely on their side. I asked to speak with a branch manager, and no one was willing to get on the phone to explain or take accountability. I will be filing a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) regarding this matter. I strongly advise others to be cautious and get everything confirmed in writing before allowing them to run your credit. This experience has been very disappointing and reflects poorly on their professionalism and customer service.

This bank is a joke. They provide you with an activation phone number on the debit card to set up pin as well which is a lie, you call they go through a whole verification process w an operator then to tell you to call a different phone number during business hours to set up pin. lol how inconvenient and the bank operator was not helpful at all..her response was “is there anything else I call do for you??”?!!! Clearly not.
