Better off using a different credit union. Have done business with Telco for over a decade now. Asked to refinance my truck, which is worth more than the requested amount. Was told I needed a “pre-purchase inspection” as it’s a new policy. Telco already holds the note on the truck. Went to a shop recommended by the CU, paid the $158 for the “inspection”, mechanics reports stated they recommend new brakes, an alignment, 2 tires due to uneven tire wear, and transmission flush every 50,000 miles( truck has 65,000 miles on it) but mechanics report also stated they were just basic wear and tear issues and truck was in good working order. Telco says I need to repair the items to refinance, and that they Weill take the amount out of the refinance amount. Sounds reasonable enough until they want the work done prior to doing any paperwork on the refinance. Which makes no sense. The underwriter and lending officer either don’t know what they are doing, or forgot why people bank with credit unions. 10/10 don’t recommend

First off the Tyler branch and Longview Branch are the most rudest people I ever came across in my life. I’m veteran so ill been around this country a few times. And never meet a nasty attitudes like the employees here. Then half the time the app doesn’t work. The want help you get approved for no type of of loans. Just don’t bank with em

Cecilia has been talking to me about how to build stronger credit and advised I open a CD with Telco Plus. I’m definitely considering joining after recently learning that Rusk County is eligible!
