Too many fees! $24 to use your savings to back up checking, $36 overdraft fee plus daily fees. And they have zero consideration for how long you’ve banked with them. So glad to move to Chime!

Don't try to do business with merchants that need to talk to your bank to verify your billing address because they will refuse to do so. I had to cancel an online order i made with my debit card and use another credit card because alliance credit union refuses to confirm the billing address on my order matches my account and would not talk to the merchant.

My husband and I bought our 1st home & financed with Alliance. We were well prepared with great credit & a great down payment that I would say isn’t very common, so we were ideal customers. Our loan officer, Tyler, was very helpful at the beginning and offered us a very competitive rate, so we closed with Alliance. Although, after we closed, we had trouble receiving responses from Tyler and his team. A few weeks after closing, we had the very simple question of asking if we were able to opt out of our escrow account. I texted Tyler since this was our previous way of communicating prior to closing. He let me know he’d find out and never followed up. No big deal. I followed up again via text & would get left on read. I then proceeded to email Tyler & Courtney (I believe loan assistant?). No response either. I continued texting and got left on read again and again. I finally decided to call Courtney and she was able to give me an answer after our mortgage had already been sold. This was a small issue that I found unprofessional, but not the biggest one. A little over a month after we closed, I got a call from the title company saying the insurance company didn’t accept a payment because we didn’t have an active home policy with them. I was confused as we had paid all closing cost & had all our home insurance in good shape. After investigating with the insurance company, I found out they hadn’t received the home insurance payment and we were starting to be sent letters for the outstanding payment. For context, I had an insurance policy set a couple weeks before closing, then got a better quote from another company and sent all the paperwork to Tyler of the new policy & confirmed via email & text all the paperwork a week before closing. Everything was sent in a timely manner, so that wasn’t an issue. Come to find out, the lender’s team sent the title company the insurance information of the cancelled insurance policy and sent a check to them. The insurance company cashed the check. Once I put all the puzzle pieces together, I had to get ahold of Tyler and Nate (insurance agent of the cancelled policy) to see what we had to do to get the money back from the erroneously cashed check and get it to the lender, so they could get it to the title company, to then get it sent to the correct insurance company. I never received an apology from anybody on the lender’s team for this mistake. This was the frustrating situation because we paid all the fees for the mortgage to make sure all our information was sent correctly to all parties without any hassles. Having to do all the investigating on my end was time consuming and stressful when it could have been prevented if the loan officer & their team had better communication. I also did not feel taken care of by the Alliance team I worked with for not taking ownership of this mistake that could have ended really bad and by ignoring my multiple attempts to get answers to questions. I hope this review reaches the right leadership to communicate my concerns & hope no other customers feel like just a monetary transaction like I have after not being helped to the standard I had believed Alliance to have.

Leah was great! Very personable and professional. She also did a great job of explaining the features and terms and was very efficient in getting my accounts setup!
