I’ve been a Security Service member for over 20 years and have always appreciated their banking processes. The new monthly fee just to maintain an account was already disappointing for a credit union, but the recent issues with their loan department have been the last straw. They merged their mortgage payment system into the main banking app, and the result is confusing and misleading. After making a payment, the app still shows it as “due” unless you dig several layers deep to confirm anything. It creates unnecessary stress and makes it hard to trust what the system is telling you. On top of that, I had an account‑transfer error that no one notified me about, even though I called multiple times trying to resolve the issue. I kept attempting payments that were never going to go through because the account number was wrong — something they could have easily communicated. Despite never being more than 30 days late in two decades, they are now requiring me to mail a certified check. No option to pay locally, no flexibility, and no acknowledgment of my long history as a reliable customer. The representatives I dealt with were rigid, unhelpful, and dismissive. After 20+ years, I expected better communication, better technology, and better treatment. Unfortunately, this experience has made me seriously reconsider my relationship with Security Service. Not to mention I was transferred more than 3 times the first two times I called because each rep is siloed to a specific task! Bad business all around. I’m moving my accounts as soon as I able to.

I went to the Highway 50 bank in Pueblo to do some banking for my Mom. I had the wonderful pleasure of working with Mariah Escajeda! She made me feel like I was visiting with a long lost best friend! She is amazing! I hope to see her soon!

Security services are wonderful! Their help and guidance with the purchase of our 2023 Toyota Tacoma could not have gone better. Rachel Costley at the Barnes branch in Colorado Springs was very very professional, took care of our needs, stayed late to help us, put things together and got us in and out in half an hour time when it was ready to close our deal. Rachel and the Barnes branch are part of our family now! We are so proud and happy to have met Rachel the day we opened our account and to receive the kind of service that her and the others who work at the Barnes branch provide for us. I highly recommend this credit union and I very much recommend this branch. Truly 5 Star service! Sharrell Wayne and Karen Davis

Great phone CSR. Always patient & helpful. I can't access online while living overseas but that's ok since it shows greater security account protection & I can always call in thru the easy to use 24/7 phone number to check balances.

Current member here. We recently went in to get a loan. Anastasia Moton is the one who got us started and was very helpful. For example I ended up wanting to change to a different type of loan since I learned that it made alot more sense that what I assumed would work so I didn't bring all the right documents for that type. So we needed to come back another day and even though she already helped us a bunch she scheduled us a meeting so I can fit it around my work schedule and set us up with to know everything we needed. I highly recommend asking for her if you are there. Heck even if you have to book an appointment for later. Her help is worth the wait. Then when we came back Mauricio Solano assisted us. He was also a great help. Since we needed the loan to restructure things to help pay off my debt sooner he kept looking for other ways for me to save money. For example I am pretty sure his advice with switching to the SSFC car insurance will be cheaper and better than what I have now. That's extra money I can put towards paying down things. Again I highly recommend asking for him if you can and I highly recommend checking this location out. My Rating: 6.5 stars out of 5 stars because they are just that good.
Weekdays 9am–4pm typically have the shortest wait times for new member inquiries.
