Select Federal Credit Union has some of the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. After Crystal left, the quality of service completely declined. I originally opened my account while working as a VIA bus operator, and I regret sticking with this bank as long as I did. They offer poor interest rates, barely answer the phone, and when they do, the attitude is awful. Robin Davenport was especially horrible to deal with. She was extremely rude, constantly talked over me, and used a sarcastic tone when I was simply trying to get basic information. Her behavior was unprofessional, disrespectful, and completely inappropriate for someone working at a financial institution. She should not be dealing with customers at all. I understand this is a small credit union, but that is no excuse for treating people this way. You are far better off going to Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union, where the customer service and interest rates are significantly better. If you’re considering banking here, please think twice and protect your money. Based on my experience, this place has terrible customer service from top to bottom.

Don't waste your time with this credit union if you don't live in San Antonio! They will get all your personal information then tell you can't join cause you don't live close enough!

Have not had the best experience with trying to refinance vehicle. Two agents we previously spoke with were not helpful or pleasant. They give you the run around in documents. Lady hung up before I could get everything out. They just did not seem like they wanted to help. If you don’t like your job get another one. This is a bank that employer recommended need to let them know this company is not the best.

I have had several instances where I have had questions regarding my account. Female representative that has assisted me every time has always been extremely snide and condescending. Will not allow me to fully explain my concerns over account without condescending interruptions . There have been Ridiculous holds on $100 to $250 checks my husband has received for side jobs . Representatives reply was “ If you had 40k or more in your account then maybe a hold wouldn’t be placed .” After I expressed my husbands direct deposit would very much cover that and more she simply said “ I don’t know what to tell you , all institutions do that” This has been with personal checks , business checks , escrow checks , even tuition reimbursement checks . Today I simply called regarding a fee I didn’t understand and her reply was “ did you even try and ask the company why they messed up “ after expressing I had just contacted them and needed a little more help and redirection to understand the charge . I have worked for several credit unions and the customer service my husband and I have received through SFCU has been nothing but unpleasant. Unfortunately this was the credit union his employer recommended but we will be transferring to SSFCU or Randolph . Very disappointed in how this institution treats their members . If someone calls and asks for assistance or help it’s because they need it or don’t understand. A representatives job is to facilitate the experience and assist them not be condescending or rude when someone is expressing concerns for their own money . I have contacted management and left voicemails . Needless to say there has been no attempt to communicate.

Don't know what's going on at credit union, but there service has gone down hill. They don't return phone calls, or put you on hold forever. They used to give better service.
Weekdays 9am–4pm typically have the shortest wait times for new member inquiries.
