I was approved to get a loan, could put money down, 715 credit score. We got so far as knowing what the payment would be, credit ran. Everything was set so I thought. Then she asks about my personal life. I told her we wanted to live in it to travel more and she said “those aren’t suppose to be lived in. I’ve done that you’ll hate it” then she found out I had two kids and said “I don’t think you’ll be able to afford this with two kids” etc. the whole entire situation flipped as soon as she asked about my life. We made 98k last year. Then she tells me she’s going to have to think about it before she would give her personal approval of the loan. When before, there was no issue. She started backtracking. She told me to come back the next day to see if she will approve the loan. Mind you, we started this process on Thursday the previous week and this is now Monday. Then my husband goes up there and asks what the issue is and she says “I’m not going to give it to y’all. No.” I knew she was going to say no because of her attitude. Yet, she was willing to send me through another day of rollercoaster emotions just to waste our time AGAIN. Luckily my husband went up there and we did not wait another day. I see this as more of a breach of an implied contract case with hints of discrimination. She was a very intimidating woman. Snippy and not nice at all. I left bawling because she made me feel so little. I called the president and she was very dismissive. Didn’t have anything to say, but something on the lines of I agree with her it’s policy. Which I don’t remember having two kids being in their policy? Also, the president was completing skating over the fact that I had an issue with the TREATMENT from her employee. The president Lou, again made excuses and did not validate my emotions whatsoever. Before I hung up I asked Angela’s (the lender) if she denied anything I had mention and she did not, because I wanted to make sure she wouldn’t lie once the phone hung up and I could not defend myself. She was listening in on the phone and then started yelling at me through it in the background. “I hope you know I’m listening to everything you’re saying!!” (She was listening without me knowing) but that was fine because I told the truth. I’ve never been treated this way in a professional setting. Also, the phone was on a recorded line. The first day there, I met with a LOVELY lady named Shelby. She was nice as can be, informative, and was not condescending. Shockingly enough she was new, Angela could learn some people skills from Shelby. It’s sad that a new employee brings people in, just for the VP of lending to run them off. The SAME day we were approved elsewhere for our loan. Within two days of this incident, we had our truck and camper in our hands. We were treated great and were not sent through the wringer. We only tried this place first because First United Bank recommended them. Although, I would never want anyone else go through this. It was a blessing in disguise. After research, we found a much better credit union with better rates as well! They were appalled when we explained our previous experience with texoma educators CU. Do not do business with them.

I had the easiest experience setting up a new account. The staff are so friendly and make it a breeze getting through the process. They also have lots of products to handle anything you need accomplished. Definitely recommend them.

I have had nothing but the best service since I been using this bank. Been there for over 5 years now and the people and the service is the best. Bar None.

Absolutely worst experience with a bank I’ve seen. Heard great things and decided to try a local small CU for the member advantages. Terrible mistake. Some staff is Good. Some are incompetent. Constant issues with transferring funds and poor attitudes and excuses when questioned about it. Please don’t waste your time and risk your funds with these guys.
Weekdays 9am–4pm typically have the shortest wait times for new member inquiries.
