Awesome team work!!! ZULIKA &LOGAN Are super stars 🌟 Zulika was amazing in helping me build and improve my credit score. She took the time to explain how credit works and clearly walked me through what I needed to do to raise my score. She truly goes above and beyond. She responds to emails in a timely manner and is always willing to stop what she’s doing to look up answers and make sure you’re taken care of. She is very knowledgeable, kind, and trustworthy. My credit score has improved so much thanks to her. She’s easy to talk to and truly cares about her clients. I highly recommend her. Logan is the greatest loan officer. She is amazing at getting the best rates and always has your best interest in mind. She is extremely knowledgeable and goes above and beyond to get the loan done and then some. She responds quickly to questions, gives honest and correct advice, and is truly trustworthy and genuine. I highly recommend working with her.

I've been a member of HFCU since 2008, and my parents have since it was still Fluor Mid-Continent. This really used to be THE bank here in Sugar Land, and there was a time about 10 to 15 years ago where they seemed to uniquely care (compared to other banks) about their customers, would work with them more to find solutions, and there weren't so many excessive fees. I've never had great experiences with larger banks like Chase or Wells Fargo, but in the past several years, I've started having the same issues with HFCU as well. Their motto should be, "We technically can do that for you, we just won't." There really isn't a net benefit to banking here anymore, and there's seriously like 12+ other banks nearby to choose from that are newer and probably have better incentives for new customers.

Amazing Credit Union. I had the pleasure of meeting Joy, the branch manager. Her and her associates did a wonderful job assisting me with a cashiers check last minute. I arrived pretty late like 10 minutes before closing. They were still able to help me even though the lobby closed, where they handle cashiers checks. It was a big emergency for me. Joy and her associates were happy to help. This has to be my favorite Houston Federal Credit Union branch! Join now if you aren't already a member and try to go to the Sugar Land Branch on Kensington Drive. 😊😊 Very happy member 💕

This credit union is an absolute nightmare to work with. I had accounts with them in the past but left due to poor customer service & underwhelming products. I figured I’d give them another chance, but it seems nothing has changed. I applied for membership online and the process was a trainwreck. The first day, I sat on the chat waiting for someone to pick up for 3 hours - no answer. The following day, sat on the chat for 3 hours again. Sent in an online email form & someone actually got back to me with forms to sign. I sent them back about 10 minutes later and radio silence regarding next steps. I called twice and both times sat on hold. Requested a call back which came 20 minutes later, which of course I missed. They didn’t even care to leave a voicemail. Called back & got no answer. I got a text regarding the next steps and when I replied to it 2 minutes later, an auto reply said the person was out of the office. After this, about a week went by and my last resort was to file a complaint with the BBB and ask them to close my accounts - it should never get to the point where a member's only point of contact is through a complaint form. Eventually, Miranda reached out to me personally and helped close out my accounts - she was the only pleasant and knowledgeable person there. Edit to add: Their initial reply to my review had some attitude to it, but I guess they're trying to do damage control since it got updated to something more nicer and neutral. Very shady, avoid at all costs.

Today Nov 6 2025, second waste of time and aggravation on my issue, I went to HFCU to update my cellphone number (HFCU requires in person at the bank to update cellphone number) for purposes of sending the verification code required for my log in so I could access my online banking on my lap top. The worker is clueless where to go on their system to update my cellphone number, this was going on for some time. Finally she stepped out with my new cellphone number written on a piece of paper and later came back assuring me that my new cellphone number is now in the system and even showed me an example of the verification code message in my cellphone. I was relieved that I could now access my account. Later in the evening I logged in and the same stupid problem (verification code sent to my old cellphone number)!!!!!! I had to access my account to know my balance, make transfers, and pay bills!!!!!!!!! These clueless workers did not solve the problem of updating my cellphone number. Tomorrow I have to go back again to this SUPER AGGRAVATION BANK.
