I have used Horizon credit union since 2016, I have loved them. However me and my husband were trying for a home loan of 275,000 and they denied us because we didn't have the 5% down. We tried Cyprus credit union and they approved us for 309,000 plus $0 down payment. I'm not saying Horizon is terrible, but they have no programs to help home buyers so talk to other lenders first!

Horizon CU has always been good to me and my family. When all others have failed to get me a loan of any sorts, Horizon has given me one and with the Best rates! They might be a smaller Credit Union, but they are Bigger to me. Good company, Thank you Horizons

This is the absolute worst institution ever. Bank anywhere else. You’ll probably get better customer service asking a homeless person to hang on to your cash than from Horizon. Going to a branch is a joke. Pick up the phone and talk to a screen. They’re poorly trained, rude, and basically useless. Even the coin counters they have in some of the branches don’t count accurately. Off by about 10% in the credit union’s favor. The sad thing is that they used to be much better. But that was a long time ago. I can’t think of an experience in the last 5 years that’s been positive. I can give you 10+ examples of negative experiences in the last 5 weeks. Bank anywhere but here!

Horizon has been great to work with. We love our new car and the we really like the rates we have been approved for at Horizon. Simple, friendly and fast service every time we stop by a branch. The website is easy to use as well.
