NEVER WORK WITH MACU. My experience with Mountain America Credit Union has been extremely frustrating from start to finish. Every part of the process has been unclear, difficult, and far more complicated than it needed to be. I worked with several different loan officers and consistently received incomplete or conflicting information, which made an already time-sensitive transaction much harder than it should have been. Communication was poor, guidance was unclear, and overall the level of support was disappointing. Based on my experience, I would not recommend working with this credit union.

Hunter is exceptional at his Job. I have had a lot of problems since MACU changed their privacy policy, I have been trying to work with the service center over the phone for a month and they just could not help me in a timely manner. I went in to the branch to fix the problems and Hunter was able to do it quickly. He was very kind and even stayed late after hours to make sure we were taken care of. It is people like Hunter that keep me banking at MACU

I had to wait over half an hour in the lobby after the appointed time for a scheduled visit. However, Jacob was very professional, efficient, helpful when setting up my account. I was approved for and obtained my credit card in the same day. Jacob called me the instant my credit card was approved and got the “stretch Y” card just before the branch closed! Go cougs.

Waited for over an hour to talk to a teller along with about 15 other people. Everyone at this location has absolutely no urgency to get things done.
