Upon moving to the area a few years ago, local friends who are in the know suggested I try Members 1st because of their own good experiences, so I went with them. It’s one of the best banking choices I’ve ever made: a real ‘home town’ feel, pleasant people, and ease of doing business. Having been used to big-city banks, this is an oasis in comparison. They’ve been very personable, patient and helpful (even while I took forever getting records correct at my end) and it’s been only positive experiences. Highly recommended.

I knew of this bank since I had a friend use it in High School. I have had 'run ins' with this bank, off and on throughout the years. I ran into a situation where I was put onto an account since I worked days and they worked nights. Not once, but TWICE I went through the drive through, requested the cash as I was told to, by the account holder, and the bank handed me a receipt with a NEGATIVE balance! The first time, I ate the fee and didn't bother the account holder, then it happened to the holder, THEN they did it to me, but I caught it BEFORE I drove away. I do not have my own SINGLE account here, nor will I EVER, no bank should be okay with handing over a receipt with a (-$) negative dollar amount, nor should a member or co-member have to CATCH a BANK ERROR. I triple check receipts before driving away, and I no longer pay fees for the mistake, I let the account holder deal with it. I am a community member, I didn't open an account here, but I HAVE PAID BANK FEES, because of BANK ERROR - leaves a bad taste in my mouth, and I will NEVER hold a single owned account here, nor do I recommend any one else open an account here, let it be "OPM" (Other Peoples' Money), they got too much of mine, as a 'non-member', already (I'm only on it so they can get cash when I'm available).

Do not do business with this bank. My partner has been with them for 10 years and for the first time he has had to dispute a charge. The woman at the bank did not help him dispute the charge, an unauthorized charge that was a large amount and charged multiple times. The woman at the bank didn't believe him, there was "nothing they could" but recommended us to call the establishment and ask for money back. I never seen such poor service with a bank. We will be closing all accounts with this place and its been a long time coming. Thanks for nothing.

My girlfriend and I have a home loan through this bank; they were one of only a few that offered a loan for us. The process was slightly rocky setting up the loan and our account at the bank, but that was due to a couple people that were involved in the process that are no longer involved with the loan or the bank. We've had a few misunderstandings over the past 5 years, but nothing detrimental. Mostly just confusion about the interpretation of how the bank and the loan terms function. Everyone at the bank has been very pleasant and anytime I've had a question, they've gone to find the answer for me. Overall, I would absolutely use this bank again for future loan needs.

I have been a customer of this credit union for about 5 years and found it's basic services local, personable, but l had a big problem with some unauthorized banking done on my account in total a 500 dollar loss. What disappointed me the most was the lack of Evalyn's follow up with me as l waited a week to here back on my loss. I had to call to find out there was... " nothing we can do"...l understood, but but it was her lack of customer care that takes center of my complaint .
Weekdays 9am–4pm typically have the shortest wait times for new member inquiries.
