NEFCU was an amazing credit union. They had outstanding customer service and next to no fees. Then we all got screwed on this merger. Customer service went to hell and fees all of a sudden appeared among many other dissatisfiers. Looking into switching credit unions. Stay away from East Rise.

Mourning the loss of what was a great, local, friendly caring service in NEFCU. Another one bites the dust due to greedy consolidation in the residential finance landscape! I've been a member at NEFCU forever - like 20 years or more. I had a car loan with them in my early days living in VT and their rates were very fair, the people were helpful, and I had their credit card since it came with the package. I would use it occasionally over the years if I needed some extra credit. But now, post-merger, the service is awful. It took me 4 calls and more than 2 hrs to get a billing issue resolved on my CC. I've just closed my accts there and the agent didn't even try to save my business. So it goes. RIP NEFCU.

I have been with EastRise (previously known as New England Federal Credit Union) for many years and they have always been helpful with their members. They ensure your bank account is safe and will work with you/answer your questions about anything financial related like IRAs and mortgages. I couldn't ask for a better bank.

EastRise service is excellent! Christine and her team are so attentive and very nice from start to finish in closing my house. A dream come true and feeling blessed I found EastRise!

I need copies of past transactions when East Rise was Vermont State Employee Credit Union. I spoke with Emma and after a couple of calls she told me I needed to send $125.00 to get the information. Wow! So, I called back to speak with her and got a person called Deidra who when I asked to speak to Emma, she asked me for a last name and said there were several Emma‘s there and that she would be the one that needed to help me. I really just wanted to speak to the original person that I talked with. If it wasn’t important, I wouldn’t have made that request. So I’ve called back a couple of times and was told Emma was on the phone, again when they said Emma’s on break. The last call I made I needed to verify my phone number give my first name my last name, my birthdate my old address, my previous address and The reason from my call. What kind of Customer Service is this? All I wanted to know in this conversation today was if they received the money and if the statements would be sent out. customer Service is very slow. It makes you feel like you’re very unimportant and your business doesn’t really matter.
