I been a member with credit union for more than ten years. Always fast service I must say… but to this present day I don’t know who is running the loan department but the services is terrible, you trying tell me I waiting three weeks for a loan to get approved and when you call and ask what’s going on. It’s still being reviewed… like come on. Who is running the department now??

Yesterday, St Thomas Federal Credit Union was there to help me again! Throughout my forty+ years of membership, they have always performed in an professional manner, their “Motto, Not for profit, not for charity, but for service“, continues to be demonstrated. I needed a large amount of cash to pay the balance on Hurricane Repairs ( a discount was offered on cash payment). When I arrive to find the Credit Union(CU) closed due to COVID19, I was totally disheartened, I would have to write a check and therefore receive no discount. Since our CU has in the past always given me top notch service, stepped up to help me out of personal jams and addressed my fiscal concerns positively, I called them. Two female agents helped me to receive the cash from the new ATM, I was permitted to access my funds and receive an amount over the $500 limit in cash. Thank you again CU. It’s reassuring to know that you care about your customers. Please continue the great job you’re doing and the services you are providing.

Now...I'm going to raise the star approval. STTFCU has proved to be alright with me. First, the customer service is good! Everytime I come in or phone they are pleasant. It's a good thing when you are valued as a member. Recently in my travels STTFCU were very much accommodating in helping me. I truly appreciated this service. I also appreciate Ms. Harris and the entire team in introducing me to other ways in working with my account. However, one thing...it would be great if they had Zelle. :-) Continued success to STTFCU! 9 months ago...One major complaint...I don't trust this bank anymore. My account was compromised and the untrained woman over cyber security blamed me for having my account compromised. Really?! Simply because I gave my bill collector my info and THEY abused my card by using it in another country to pay their bill. What?! STCU did not protect me or contact me at all. In addition, I went to make purchase and my card was declined. Fortunately they were opened, and unlocked my card. The reason being, they changed card system and some cards did not change over. The kind lady apologized. But that is still bad. If this was a weekend, I would've stuck with a locked card. And then, how can the ATM outside of the bank not give a receipt? Who monitors this??? They make too many casual errors!!! I've gotta eventually divorce myself from this nightmare instiution. Besides that... 90% Nice and professional staff. Very helpful when making inquiries. Except one teller...he never, ever smiles and a tad bit unpleasant when approaching him. He is never cordial ...never! He never looks up..just at the keyboard..like he is mad about something. Or he has an overly professional demeanor, thinking it makes him appear efficient without smiling. Yet, I do smile and speak friendly (uncomfortable for me) because his customer service friendliness is void. Maybe it's personal. IDK It tickles me, yet annoying...if you call 20 minutes before closing, they won't answer the phone. Especially holiday and carnival time. However, it's the way they do business and people have just grown accustomed to it. Small organization, yet vigorously active recruiting members. I appreciate their tenacity.

Awful experience my card got stuck in a machine and the person I talked to basically laughed off my concerns. Horrible customer service and I would advise you to do business anywhere else.
