Customer service is the absolute worst of any bank that we do business with. Their telephone system is awful. The people are rude and unhelpful. I reported fraud. After speaking to 4 people, one a supposed manager in the main office, my issue still is not resolved and they promised to get back to me two days ago and have not. The amount in question is less than 90 dollars. I have been a member since 1977. There are other Federal Credit Unions who prov ide much better service.

SDFCU is no longer in its heyday and they're too big (ego-wise) to care about the members THAT FUND THEIR PAYROLL. I have been a SDFCU member for over 10 years and in the past few years the quality of customer service has consistently gone downhill, especially with the bait-and-switch advertised rates (I have over an 800 score and a rate I got approved for way well above the advertised rate even if I did auto-draft as the fine print sneaks by the consumer). SDFCU acts more like a greedy bank with high turnover in member services, clearly due to a bad internal culture lead by a senior leader(s) who the board won't hold accountable--but at least members are catching on and VOTE in board elections. I'm sure SDFCU will post a templatized, generic "we're so sorry...members are our number 1 priority...blah blah blah...but you still don't matter as an individual, but we look nice posting this bland, obligatory, tone-deaf reply". Notice my review isn't edited, was I proven right?

I’ve been an account holder at SDFCU for about 15 years and this is BY FAR the worst location they have. The Manager / Supervisor is the most smug, arrogant, unbothered person I’ve ever come across. She acts as though you’re bothering her when simply asking a question or making a request that the tellers cannot handle. I have no clue how she’s in a position of authority, but that speaks to the absolute lack of standards and professionalism at this location. If you’re thinking of patronizing this location, let me be the first to say DO NOT!!! Go find another credit union or even better just keep your money under your mattress. STAY AWAY if you value customer service and human decency.

I had a very disappointing experience with this business due to the poor service provided by Lena, Gladys, and their supervisor Angela. The interactions were unprofessional, dismissive, and lacked basic customer care. My concerns were not handled appropriately, and when escalated, there was no meaningful resolution or accountability. I expected a much higher level of professionalism, especially from management. Unfortunately, this experience fell far below acceptable standards, and I would not recommend this business based on how the situation was I have been a member for over 20yrs and I have never had such awful experience This was a frustrating experience from start to finish. The service was unprofessional, disorganized, and did not meet basic expectations. I gave multiple opportunities for the issue to be corrected, but nothing improved. I regret choosing this business and would advise others to proceed with caution.

Ive been a member for 10 years and the service has declined tremendously. whenever i call I get passed around to different to different departments with no solution or answer. their rewards program seems to be removed and cant redeem my points for paying off my credit card. Awful service wouldn't recommend to a soul. I will be looking for a new bank because their model seems to be obsolete
