I've been using LCU since I first started making money as a teenager. I am now in my thirties and still LOVE this bank. I will say that some of the front desk tellers could be a little more friendly, but overall it's been fantastic. I have NEVER had an issue—even when my old apartment complex wrote me a bad check, LCU was able to assist me. I even get my paychecks a day early using direct deposit, which, in this economic climate, is a HUGE plus. There are only two downsides: there's only one location, and you can't add your bank card to Apple Wallet. This doesn't really hinder anything in the long run, so I still say 5 stars. Also, Caitlin is their BEST employee—always friendly and rocks at answering phones!!!!

Opened a savings account about a year ago went to close the account today and pulled out less money than I put in the account because of the fees the bank had. However I surely should have gained some type of interest with it right? No because they don’t pay interest unless it’s above 200 which wasn’t mentioned when I opened the account! I would have put more into the account if that information was disclosed because the whole point of a savings is the interest!! I even asked about the interest when opening the account and the teller never said a thing about the payout minimum. Would not recommend this bank for any savings account their rates are the lowest Ive ever seen.

I have been a member of LCU for nearly 50 years. I have always been extremely satisfied and supportive of them and their service and commitment to their members. However over the past few years the service has gone down hill. I have had repeated issues with logging in to my account especially from my cell phone resulting in my account being disabled. When I call the customer service team no one answers my questions. Today I spoke to someone who assured me that I would have no further issues. Surprise, surprise I am still locked out of my account. Obviously there is a problem with LCU. After 50 years I am considering moving my account since it is obvious that they don’t care to resolve the problem

Member for 20 years. I’ve gotten multiple car loans at low rates. They provide great services without exorbitant fees of the big banks. On the occasions when my debit card number has been stolen when I’m on vacation, they provide excellent fraud response, and dealt with it right away. 100% recommended.

The Credit Union used to be 5+ stars when I started in 2001. That was true up until about a year or so ago. They have since become as non pro-active as you would fear in any banking institute. I was able to do my banking as an employee of Loudoun County and stayed with them when I moved over to work for VDOT. I never got denied a loan in all my time with them. Even when I left the Department in Leesburg and was assigned to Fredericksburg, I saw no change in their level of excellent customer service.... That was until a year ago. Since the departure of Carol Caron and Darrin Meyers, it is my opinion that the credit union has degraded itself to a very generous 2 stars. Because of the lack of quality customer service I enjoyed for over 16 years, I decided to join my wife's bank where customer service still remains priority one. I have left the credit union numerous emails which, if answered at all, doesn't get responded to for days or weeks. I had 3 requests in for a credit card increase with the credit union and with eZ-Card since January of this year and neither have responded to date. I would probably still be a LCCU member if Darrin and Carol were still there. What a shame.
