I wish that kept there loans going. Once the third party came involved in change how the loans are being done now. They need to do one big loan for the whole year if that's how I will do it. An amount should be up to $10,000 for a whole year to pay back and no other loan can be taken out but that won't loan for whatever needs to be bills. Christmas vacation. Just one loan. But all in that I love my credit union. They've been good to me.

After several years with LMFECU I have decided to close my accounts with them due to their way of nickel and dime me out of my own funds that caused more chaos then necessary. I was charged fees when items posted for the same items that were already deducted from the available balance. I have emails from the bank that would state things when in question the fees like, “you had $100 in your account and you had $98 post”. This would cause overdraft fees due to processing things like it was charging me double. Then on top of that, I was charged a fee for something and due to the fee it caused a complete domino effect in my account that the bank overdrew my account and when items posted I was charged fees of almost $600, due to them processing their fee first when the system updated instead of posting all the things then dealing with the fee. When I discussed all this I was dismissed and pretty much told you can go to a different bank good luck! I used to love my service here but this has occurred in multiple occurrences.

I see mixed reviews here on Google about our credit union. I think that could come from a misunderstanding about what our credit union can provide. They clearly explain their services and what they can offer us. I shop around for rates and sometimes I use our credit union and sometimes I end up using a bank. I used to think our credit union would have the best rates for everything but everyone else has become competitive with credit unions. I haven’t had any issues with our credit union because I learned, through trial and error with them. Like all of us, they are good people trying to do the best they can.

They’re always helpful and I feel safe depositing my paychecks here. I wish they had some hours on the weekends, but at the same time I’m glad they give their employees a break every weekend. It’s nice that they remember my name too :)
