TruEnergy Federal Credit Union does not value its members, nor does it take member concerns or account history into consideration. Despite branding itself as a community-focused credit union, my experience shows the opposite—rigid processes, poor communication, and a complete lack of empathy or accountability. Concerns are met with generic responses, delayed decisions, and silence. Even after explaining legitimate hardships and long-term membership, there was no meaningful effort to work with me or offer reasonable solutions. Decisions feel arbitrary, and members are left stressed and unsupported during critical moments. The only bright spot at this institution is Gloria, who was professional, responsive, and genuinely tried to help. She appears to be one of the few employees who actually understands what member service means. Unfortunately, leadership is another story. The president does not engage directly with members and instead hides behind staff and processes, avoiding accountability when issues escalate. That lack of leadership sets the tone for the entire organization. If you’re looking for a credit union that listens, advocates for its members, and stands by its mission, I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere.

Worst credit union in history! They don’t stand by there word and don’t value there mission or members at all. Gloria is probably the only good thing about this credit union. There is literally one branch. I know everyone in there besides this one new lady in collections. (I have been a member longer then she has been a employee) I wrote the CEO requesting a good will adjustment due to late payments being added to my account after making a payment arrangement with Ashley (the original collection lady) the moment she left they slapped 3 late payments on my credit report and had the new collections girl copy and paste a generic message from off FCRA website. The formatting was so bad you can tell that she copied and pasted it. It was also not catered to me. I have been with this credit union for several years along with several members of my family. I am on first name basis with several employees but to be talked to like that I am so upset that I patronize a company like this one. I would give zero stars if I could! Update: As you can see by the response very general. I had one late payment and this did not effect only my car note but also my credit cards I wrote the ceo of capitol one and discover and they both honored my request and removed the late payment as a courtesy. This credit union is acting as if they HAVE to do this and this is why I say they do not stand by there “values” it will not hurt them or there reputation to do a goodwill adjustment but it did hurt me tremendously. And I am saddened by the fact I’m stuck in a contract with them. I have paid double my car loan amount every month since August and my late payment was in July. I can’t wait to pay my car off and close my account. And again this is just my opinion so idk why they are even responding but I attached pics of my request with there response. Would you want to back with someone who responds like this after a detailed request? Also I keep adding more because I keep reading and keep feeling more disrespected. Why would I contact the credit bureau and not the credit union who mission is to be build relationships with there community? It just doesn’t make sense and further confirms my review.

TruEnergy is a great Credit Union. The staff in the Springfield location is top-notch. Whenever I need help with my banking needs, they are always friendly, outgoing, and helpful. I've never been made to feel as if they were too busy to help me with my needs. Customer Service is awesome. There are still kind people willing to help without an attitude. LM.

I love my credit union. They have really great rates and have qualified me for loans when other banks turned me down. The ladies at the windows are also very friendly, too. Especially Natalia. :)

UPDATE: 2022 Gloria Ware assisted edited me and my sister with getting a HELC. She made the transition so smooth. She has available to answer all our follow up questions. TruEnergy rates are the lowest and their quick service is a game changer! In 2021 Eileen helped me refinance my car that i purchased in 2018. Again they out did themselves and and offered an even lower interest rate! Can not say enough about the low interest rates! You just can't get any lower than TruEnergy In 2018 I purchased my car with a loan with TruEnergy. They offered the lowest loan rates ever for my new car! They offer much better rates than State Dept Federal Credit. That alone won me over!
