Been a member since 1997. Pros: Fee-free checking, low interest rate credit card, and fairly simple to get a personal loan to consolidate debt. Cons: Will hold deposits of cashier's checks for over a week; poor customer service; terrible app and web site.

Unfortunately due to their Mortgage service branch, I'll have to rate a 1. Hurricane Helene struck Georgia and never had I thought I would have to go through something like natural disaster. Winds were up to 100mph. My power was off about 10 days, water to be shut off suddenly for no time estimate given, incredibly hot and humid day and night - pitch black, food spoiled - in line for hours for gas with stations running out, trees down everywhere. You see where I'm going. I applied for mortgage assistance for redirect funds for immediate needs - it was a forbearance. I was approved for 3 months (just 1 would have been great as well!) and was extremely relieved. Then in November or so I was told all 3 months were due in January. I was NEVER told this. I have student loans and forbearance has a different meaning. I felt misled but applied for a loan rework as soon as December came. It been a lot of back and forth and this is missing, that is missing, etc...its "under review" now this is missing and back and forth. Ridiculous. I have never been treated this way by congressional federal. I've used them for loans in the past and always paid back on time or earlier. I've been a member since I graduated college over a decade ago. The mortgage unit (Loan Solutions) is terrible. Everything is paper based, slow and inconvenient. Its made to trip you up and make you want to give up so they can have a lump sum of money. Shockingly disappointed. It was a NATURAL DISASTER. A HURRICANE!! I didn't just wake up one day and decide not to pay. I have never been behind or sought out assistance before and just when something is out of your control and unexpected - they act like this.

Worse credit union ever! Customer service is horrible, obviously they are not training quality people. If you call a few times, you will get a different answer from each person and a supervisor is never available to speak to you. If you are looking for a good credit union this is not it. Do your research and read the reviews.

I’ve been a member since 1980. Getting money transferred into my account has been almost impossible. My daughters were never able to get their credit cards to work. I have not been able to use the new mobile app since it was created a year ago. And when you call, you are put on hold for interminable lengths of time until someone answers. I’ve waited more that 25 minutes today alone and am still waiting while I write this….it used to work better.

Literally have been on hold for an urgent matter for over an hour and to receive a call back they are giving me times THREE DAYS away. Worst service ever.
Weekdays 9am–4pm typically have the shortest wait times for new member inquiries.
