This is the most incompetently run credit union I’ve ever experienced. Don’t take out a loan, don’t open an account, don’t use them to transfer a penny. It’s 2025, and not a single branch can print out cards on site, meaning one must wait weeks for a card. This isn’t the case with most banks and credit unions in the area, get real. When they finally sent me a replacement card due to a fraud alert, the number on the card that said “call to activate” only led me to the branches front desk, where the receptionist informed me there they accidentally put the wrong number to call on there, and transferred me to a the automated number to activate it. This all after waiting for hours on hold. Love when their crappy app won’t allow you to password reset at all either. Wether it’s financial services they offer, or the crappy app you need to use to access YOUR money, NCCU seems to farm out much of its offerings to crappy third party operators and don’t care if their customers are left struggling to access basic services. This is easy stuff— in a world with sophisticated financial schemes and data leaks how can I trust they know how to get basic security done correctly if they can’t even put the correct phone number on a card? Let alone get one to me. Closing my account. Thanks for nothing NCCU.

Asked a representative to explain something to me and they just repeated themselves slower and rudely. Thankfully I don’t bank here; just have a loan thru them. Good luck, if you have any questions don’t expect them to be answered.

Have had a horrible experience with this credit union, went through a 20 day process of giving them my routing and account number and they kept saying it was invalid so it wouldn’t work, when i pulled cash and went to a branch to make my payment i successfully made it but the next day that same amount came out of my checking account. Of course they aren’t open on Saturdays, loan officers need another training on customer service and how not to be rude to callers. Would not recommend using this credit union, had to call wecu to ask questions for them to tell me what they are doing is wrong. Had good hopes for this bank but I will be refinancing with wecu asap

I absolutely love North Coast Credit Union. The staff is always friendly, helpful, and courteous. The only drawback of banking here is they are not open on the weekends--not even part time on Saturday like other local credit unions. However, I do highly recommend becoming a member if you're looking for a great financial institution to bank with.

Extremely impressed with their mortgage lending/financing services! They got us a pre-approval letter within 24 hours of applying. Incredible! From there, we successfully made a reasonable offer on a house within the seller's time frame. Although the seller ended up taking a cash offer from another buyer (such is the RE market these days), we are definitely sticking with NCCU for our future financing needs. They are friendly, knowledgeable, professional and responsive. :-)
