I would give no stars if possible. I applied for a solar loan on the recommendation of the company I was buying from. Initially I was told it was conditionally approved. It took a MONTH to get a firm answer - after emails, phone calls on my part. Then it was denied because I have a reverse mortgage, a policy that apparently changed during that month. I couldn't even get a person until I called a general number. That employee - not in the solar loan department - followed up or I'd still be waiting and wasting time. I wouldn't trust this place with a dime of my money given how this was handled.

Do not use this credit union. They are unethical, rude, and non-responsive. My 65 yr old friend tried to buy $66K condo the was being sold by Community 1st Credit Union. The co-signed Purchase and Sale Agreement contained a financing contingency. The sale of the property was contingent upon the buyer receiving financing from a lender. My friend's lending institution informed him that the Condo was not eligible for conventional financing because too many of the units in the complex were over 30 days past due on their HOA dues. Community 1st (or last, if you ask me!) Credit Union refused to sign the recission form that would allow escrow to refund my friends $2,000 earnest deposit. Now my friend must pay a lawyer in order to get his $2,000 earnest deposit returned to him. Happy Holidays from Community LAST Credit Union....

Community 1st Credit Union has been my bank since 1985. I am getting ready to move out of the country, and I know that they will continue to bring me GREAT service for years to come. ~~~Melinda Myra

Slow processing and underwriting process. When you question why the approval process is taking a long time they misrepresent and contradict each other in email. Not a place for an educated borrower that understands underwriting.

I’ve been a member since 1998.These upgrades to the express line and Joy Aren’t a Joy at all.I’m not recognized as a member. My account number or my PIN number isn’t recognized so I’m unable to access my account or make balance inquiries or transfer my money. This system is clearly not working and shouldn’t have been made available to customers until it is.I’ll be calling again tomorrow and hopefully I’ll speak to a real person and not some AI.that doesn’t understand the problem and can’t fix it.If it’s not broken, don’t fix it.
Weekdays 9am–4pm typically have the shortest wait times for new member inquiries.
