I opened an account in 2019 to deposit earnings from my 2nd job so I could have a nest egg that I would hopefully get to use to buy a house one day. Now that the market has gone off the rails that plan is on an indefinite pause and I left my 2nd job. As I was no longer receiving direct deposit and was treating my checking account like a savings account and not using my debit card at all I started being charged $5 a month. I called on April 8th and the woman I spoke with said I would need to speak with someone else as I wanted to know what my options are to stop being charged a monthly fee. I was transferred to a voicemail box with no personalized greeting so I have no clue who she transferred me to. No one ever called me back. Fast forward to last week I called because I could not access their online banking and needed to transfer funds from a joint account to my individual account and I was told my Kyle Bryson that my individual account was dormant and I would need to come into a branch in person to sign some document before I could do any transactions to that account despite my joint account still being active. I asked Kyle when I was notified that my account had become dormant as I never received notice this was going to happen. Instead of getting the answer, I was told how this is the law in Washington and that notices are mailed out. After informing Kyle that the only mail I get is the monthly statement on my joint account and I had signed up for e-statements on my other account. He informed me I would have received a notice via email. I have never received a call, letter or email that advised me this was happening and the only possible emails required me to sign into their online banking system which I couldn't access due to the recent app changes. I asked if I was still being charged the monthly fee and Kyle informed me that I was. I understand that this state does have rules about dormant accounts but this credit union should do more like CALL your members or MAIL them a letter when you plan to essentially freeze their account. I opted to close all of my accounts as not only was I being charged a monthly fee, my checking account was not paying any interest so the bank was profiting off my money sitting in the account through my monthly fee AND getting all the interest off it. I also find it frustrating that I was able to close 1 account electronically with a digital signature and have a check for the balance of the account held for me or mailed out but for the dormant account a digital signature isn't enough. I also was frustrated that Kyle sent me over a document to sign to close my joint account that needed a 5 digit code and he never mentioned I would need this code while on the phone or in his email. I tried accessing the document and was prompted to enter the code provided to me by the sender, which Kyle did not do, nor did he tell me I needed to call until I emailed him asking about this code. Mind you the document only was available to view for 2 or 3 hours so a heads up should have been mentioned when he sent the document in the first place. I work very similar hours to theirs which is why I had tried calling about this matter but will never bank here again because they didn't have any compassion for my frustrations not a single I am sorry or attempt to keep me as a customer. Beware of opening an account here amd don't let it go dormant or they will make you jump through some hoops to get your money back.

I’ve tried both banks and credit unions, and Sno Falls clearly takes the lead. Their service is consistently excellent and I love how their community support spans decades. 10/10 would recommend for Snoqualmie Valley residents and beyond!

This is by far the worst bank. I originally chose this bank because of convenience. Now they are no longer open on weekends, they cut their hours on fridays, and can hardly ever seem to get a hold of any managers or anyone with any kind authority to do anything. Always dealing with new people as they can’t seem to keep employees has been a hassle with Sno Falls as well.
