Had a account made when i was a child and always had a amazing experience! The staff was always friendly and helpful for day to day things. I had to close the account for other personal reasons and the lady who helped me do that was so friendly and made it very easy for me. Thanks for the many years of great service! :>

Adrian Padilla not Ashlee, I’ve had an account with Safeway federal credit union since I was 17, because I had no activity at all with my card for almost 3 months (had a different account that I was using in Moses lake where I am from) they closed my checking account account transferred my funds to my savings account so when I went to use my debit card it was declined because that checking account was closed. When I called Safeway credit union to get the issue resolved and my checking account back open, Pam came on the phone (when I wasn’t even originally talking to her) and said to me and I quote “I think it would be best if you just find a credit union locally in Moses lake.” 😳. What the issue was with me continuing my service with them in Spokane I still have no clue to this day. Would have loved to continue my service with there branch. Apparently it was not wanted by Pam at Safeway federal credit union in Spokane Washington. Everyone I Spoke with besides her had been great up to that point. Not to mention my dad and mom and both my sisters have accounts there as well, who because of my experience will be closing all account with this branch very soon.

I'm really at the end of my rope with SFCU. I agree with other low star reviews saying they need to get with the times. For over 2 years now, my credit card statements have gone to my old address. I've called them to try to resolve it several times, and each time it continues to happen. They claim that their credit card company is separate from them, and that's why they can't correct the address but honestly it's very frustrating and totally unacceptable that this issue is unable to be rectified after more than 2 years. In addition to that, I think it's unacceptable that you are unable to choose or change your pin number. Every other bank and credit union I've ever heard of, this is an option. But not with Safeway Federal credit Union. The most recent frustration has come from my debit card expiring. They told me they would send a new one before the end of the month, yet here I am without a working debit card because the one they "sent" never arrived. Now once I do get it, I'll need to use it as a visa until I get the pin number in the mail. It's really so frustrating. Their online portal is absurd. The web developers working on it must be in their 50's to think that their mobile website is acceptable.

Excellent credit union just wish there was an after hours line or weekend assistance. Recently forgot my debit card in an atm (on a Saturday) and have no way to report it lost or request a new one until monday. Slightly inconvenienced.
