Tinesha at Sound Credit deserves serious recognition. I called with a genuinely strange and stressful situation involving a car loan that made no sense, and she handled it with total calm, clarity, and professionalism. She didn’t rush me, didn’t dismiss the weirdness of the situation, and didn’t give me canned answers. She took the time to actually investigate, explain what was going on in plain language, and help me understand my real options. What stood out most was her tone. Steady. Respectful. Grounded. Exactly what you need when you’re dealing with confusing financial stuff and trying not to get taken advantage of. By the end of the call, I had real answers and a clear next step instead of anxiety and guesswork. Thank you Tinesha!

My car loan was fine. I would consider doing business with them again based on that experience. On the rest of the experience, nope. First, they advertise through every channel they can, including notification spam in their phone app. You can't get help from their chat unless you are willing to let them see your screen. And they ask for your location when using the app, for no good reason. Yuck. Second, a couple of weeks after I got my car loan, they sent me an offer to enter a drawing for a car loan payoff, with an eligibility date a few days before my loan started. Great! Except my car loan wasn't eligible because it was via CU Direct. That didn't stop them from sending me both email and paper mail spam about the offer multiple times. In short: the actual banking experience is fine. The rest of the experience feels like used car sales. No thanks.
