I've been banking here since the 1980s when I opened an account via my grandfather working for Carbide (back when it was only open to Carbide employees and family). I have since had joint accounts with all my kids (adults now), my personal account, and my business account. I have taken multiple car loans over the years. I have never banked anywhere else and can't compare it to elsewhere. The reason is because they have NEVER given me a reason to go anywhere else. 45 years of great service, great communication, great options to serve many needs as your life/family grows and then shrinks again. In all that time, they have not once, given me a reason to look elsewhere or be upset with them. There have been hiccups here and there but they have always been prompt at handling whatever I need or needed remedied. Their employee turn over is extremely low and so I've had the pleasure of seeing the same friendly faces through the years and knowing when I do need to call, who to ask for. I wish I could give them more stars.

I wish there were overdraft grace days (ex: have until Tue - c.o.b. over a weekend and 48hrs other times; only reason if someone has to work before 8a and doesn't get off before 6p - gives them time to deposit); i heard some financial institutions DONT CHARGE ANY OVERDRAFT FEES ; I wish there were Saturday hours and also Instant deposit availability......Employees at South Charleston and Saint Albans branches are very friendly.....I like the conveniences of the locations ....

Wonderful staff here. Friendly, helpful, & professional people. In nearly 30 years that I've been a customer there, they have never acted like they're doing me a big favor or that I'm being an irritating "bother" to their day, unlike a couple "big box banks" in downtown Charleston.

Worst bank ever, especially for small businesses. There is no communication within the bank so nobody is ever on the same page nor do you get the same info across reps. They are not client focused and pile on fees after fees for their mistakes. It’s very slow paced and unprofessional. They will hold your deposits for no reason. They will snail mail notices and messages they impact your livelihood and you will not receive the communication until days later. DO NOT BANK HERE.

Don’t pay your payments online unless you want the repo guy calling you saying you haven’t made your payments since you got the vehicle then for your bank to say they went through, called multiple times to the bank and got “I’ll call you back” for me to never receive answers , abunch of scammers .
Weekdays 9am–4pm typically have the shortest wait times for new member inquiries.
