I have been a member unfortunately for the last 3 years due to an auto loan. After the auto loan was set up ,I opened up a checking and savings account. After paying on this auto loan and NEVER missing a payment for the last 3 years, I was placed on SSDI. When my car payment became more than I could afford on my SSDI monthly, I reached out to try for a lower payment. They wanted to lower it by only $20!! What in the heck is $20 going to do for me?? So I called them again trying to get the payments put on the back end because I had a Medical test that I needed done and it was going to take the $576 that was going for my car payment to go to pay for the test. ONCE AGAIN, they refused to work with me!! I had only $20 left in my checking account and tried to go to the store for toilet paper and groceries and my debit card was declined! They withheld my social security money!! Come to find out they restricted my debit card due to me owing on my car loan!! They did tell me could come into any branch and pick the money up, but that was not possible when I live 2 1/2 hours away. That's just one way. THIS CREDIT UNION IS A LIAR, AND THIEF!! I am an elderly lady who is dependent on the money I get monthly! The lady in collections Bershida is a liar and did NOT do anything she said she was going to do! STEER CLEAR OF THIS CREDIT UNION!!

I have been with Heartland for 7 years after moving all of my accounts from a large bank. I understood the credit union difference immediately after opening my accounts. Great customer service and online banking app is top tier!

My wife and I bank with Heartland and they helped us through the process of buying our first home. We worked with Jeff Rauch and April Oshiro specifically and they were awesome to work with. I would recommend Heartland for any financial service needs.

Anita was so accommodating with me changing my mind several times about a new account. She mentioned the round up debit card which is exactly what I needed.

We've been members for decades, and have had nothing but great experiences with HCU. I had a few hiccups opening a new business account, and ANITA was so helpful!
Weekdays 9am–4pm typically have the shortest wait times for new member inquiries.
