There are NO INCENTIVES to bank here, many (not all), are untrained in their jobs and unprofessional. THEY DO NOT OFFER ANY PERKS! Been banking here since they were on Stanton St in the 90"s (?) or earlier. Then they moved over to where they are currently located which used to be a Burger King for a short time. The service was decent for awhile. But then over the last couple of years, staff professionalism, customer service and trained employees are lacking. They have odd hours, never answer the phone and do not POST A RATE SHEET ONLINE! You have to actually CALL to know the rates and the waiting until they open up on their odd business hours, consumes an unnecessary amount of my precious time. They also do not have a late night option to hear daily rates over the phone either. Very inconvenient! There are a few remaining staff that are pleasant, professional & well trained in their jobs, unlike the teller who had me waiting for 20 min because she had to ask several ppl what she should do re a very uncomplicated matter. Seriously, I should charge THEM a FEE for wasting MY precious time because they are not well trained! On another occasion, I came in to ask for copies. There was an older lady made the copies double sided WRONG, up side down and then proceed to tell me that it was $4.75 because they were "legal size copies". So I was required to pay surcharge for a few more inches of paper and ink. Seriously? Perhaps the copies should have been done CORRECTLY COPIED then. And yes, I agree with folks on this feedback forum, that they hardly ever answer the phone, you ALWAYS have to leave a message because NO ONE ever stays at their desk and there are times when I have never received a call back! They have gone downhill and there is LOTS of room for improvement! Your going to loose customers which results in eventual closure and loss of employment. And no one wants to see that happen. Please quickly FIX your internal problems before you have a max exodus of customers and you shut down. Get the rates online, hire professional staff with banking experience, improve staff training, and get rid of ridiculous fees for MEMEBERS who are cashing coins and making deposits into their own account with your business. In addition, stop charging copying fees for members only & lastly, CREATE INCENTIVES TO BANK THERE!!

This place is awful! If it wasn’t for it being one of the only banking options in a small town I would never have used them. They are rude , slow to progress requests in general and working with their loan department is a nightmare! I Had fraud on my account and they never gave me the entire amount back. Remember this is a CREDIT UNION not a real bank. Avoid at all costs.

When the loan officer tells you what you can and can’t afford is an issue to me. Can’t communicate responsibly. Phones are always busy. Been banking here for 5+ yrs and never had a problem until Tom left. Can’t get loan but never been late and have good credit with many higher priced collateral items. Looking for new bank

Have been with this credit union since 1996, just within this past 1 year has gone down with customer service alone. There is only 1 teller that knows what they are doing (awesome job on your sanity). The rest of the employees right up to the Manager of the local branch completely suck too include #1 customer service. They ignore you & treat us all like trash. Time to move on from that dump.

*EDIT* I recently applied for a loan here for the 2nd time in the last 18 months. I have banked here for probably 10 years. I asked for $8000 and was refused AGAIN. Somehow they are content to take funds in but not lend them out. I am a local small business owner and I have had roots in the area since 2011. Fortunately, the credit union I have belonged to since birth saw for to not only get me a car loan when Golden Rule said no last year, but also agreed to the $8000 loan I just applied for and was turned down. They didn't offer a smaller loan, just suggested another bank. I believe I will take their suggestion and start banking elsewhere.*EDIT STOPS HERE* I used to be happy to bank here. I have belonged to a credit union almost my whole life in another town. One reason I joined this one was because before the pandemic I needed to cash in a lot of coins. I needed to do that 2 weeks ago and the first time, I lugged 2 large piggy banks in to be told that their coin machine wouldn't be working for 2 more days. That made me realize as I struggled in and out the door with employees watching me, no help, that they don't have automatic door openers for the handicapped but they have parking for disabled people. The next time I came in to cash in my coins, I had to empty my banks myself into plastic plates. Hmm. Then when I went to get the cash, I was charged nearly $10!! For cashing in my own coins that I had to dig out myself? Yah, not so much of a fan of this particular credit union anymore. Not to mention they offered my stepson a loan for $5000 and he has nearly a 400 credit score, but we went in for a loan with 650+ and got turned down. This place is nuts.
