We have been with 1st CCU for over 25 years and just recently hit on some financially hard times. I had to make a call regarding fraudulent activity annd some overdraft charges, and the girl I spoke with (Faith) was very condescending. It was very disheartening. I asked about getting a card directly from their card company not one that is printed at the credit Union and she spoke to me like I was a child. The chip in the instant cards is terrible. It wears out very fast and then you’re stuck with a card that doesn’t work properly. She was trying to tell me they are the same thing… they are Not the same card. The numbers are raised and the chip is better when they come from the card company. After all these years I’m really debating on switching banks!!!

We worked with Brittany Herricks recently for buying and selling our home and it was an amazing experience, start to finish. She goes above and beyond and really knows her stuff! This process wouldn’t have been as easy without her there. We may be moving an hour away but I will be using her again if we ever need to. I wish she was more than a mortgage lender because I’d have her do all of our future loan work. If you need a mortgage ask for Brittany!

From the ti.e we walked into the bank and Talked to Brittney, I felt at ease. The loan went fast and all she had was our best interest in mind. The process just felt right fro. He beginning to the end and was a fast process.

I generally do not write reviews but I feel like I should in this case. There are a few amazing tellers at this location but we've had a lot of negative experiences over all. We've had issues depositing vacation checks that we get yearly from the same company, issues with payroll checks and multiple fraud attempts on different accts ( one that has barely been used) My last straw was being denied a car loan, after doing the one thing they said we needed to do to be approved. We have been members for our whole lives, with multiple different loans that have all been paid on time and in full. After speaking with the loan officer at the sparta branch I immediately called multiple other banks and we were able to get our son his first car loan through a different bank, with absolutely zero issues. I would highly recommend checking out different local banks before 1st CCU as I know I'm not the only person who has had issues similar to these.

I had the pleasure of working with Brittany as my home loan servicer, and I can't say enough good things about her! From the very beginning, she consistently went above and beyond to ensure my experience was smooth and enjoyable. Her communication was timely and insightful, and she frequently checked in during my housing search, making me feel supported every step of the way. Brittany was incredibly helpful in guiding me through all the loan documentation, patiently answering each of my questions and making sure I understood everything. When it came down to the final week before closing, she truly surpassed any expectations I had by diligently securing verification of my income during my military mobilization. She coordinated all the additional documents requested by the loan guarantor without missing a beat. Thanks to her unwavering dedication and expertise, I was able to close on my home right on time—a feat that I'm certain wouldn't have been possible without her hard work. I wholeheartedly recommend Brittany to anyone in need of a home loan servicer! She is a true professional who genuinely cares about her clients.
