The new app is not user friendly, especially if you are trying to view your statements. I own a business and need to access my statements regularly. What was NEVER explained when signing up for the new app is that now in order to view your statements you need room on the iCloud to first download the statement then you can view it. You used to be able to just view the statements without having to download. I take so many pictures, my cloud (which I’ve never used in my life) is full, so i can’t view statements from my phone. I asked, since viewing my statements online is now such a process can they please just print off my last 3 statements so i can file my taxes and then just switch me back to paper? I was informed they would have to charge me $6 for that even though it really isn’t my fault I can’t view my statements anymore. Im very disappointed that they wouldn’t at least just print off these statements for me due to the changes and misinformation. The customer service and hometown feel of the credit union has definitely declined. And for older people good luck viewing statements on the app 😂😂

Been banking with them for years and recently have moved across the country. MAKE SURE before you move you pull everything out! Wire transfers from a distance are a no go unless you want to wait weeks for your money (sending things through mail), they won't do Cash App, won't do Zelle, I've had trouble with PayPal before as well. ATM limits are very low. Even though their policy is to turn off debit cards after a year of inactivity, both of mine have been turned off with the latest one being 6mo inactive only. I didn't know they were even turned off, never got any sort of notification or an offer to resend a new card out after they turned them off. And now that I need money, I find I'm stranded! I'm lucky I share an account with someone with an active card, otherwise I have NO way to access money, and they had no suggestions either that didn't involve 2-3 week delays. If you move away and leave your main bank here, good luck getting any sort of balance over 1k out in a timely manner!

Tomah Area Credit Union tricks you into thinking “overdraft protection” means you’re safe — but really, it just lets them slap you with a ridiculous $30 NSF fee anytime you don’t have enough money. What’s worse: I hadn’t even used my account in months when I got hit with this fee after a surprise tax service charge. When I asked for a one-time courtesy reversal, their customer service coldly refused, citing some lame excuse that I’d already used that favor years ago. Their rigid, uncaring approach shows they care more about squeezing fees from struggling members than actually supporting people. Sure, they get $30 from me now — but they lost my business and future referrals for good. If you want decent customer service and to be treated like a person, look elsewhere.

This bank is the most PRIMITIVE banking institution I’ve ever dealt with. If you want to utilize apps like Venmo, uber, doordash, etc. TACU will NOT support it. Their banking system is outdated and freezes your account for the smallest instances. I have had nothing but issues with this bank for the last five years and I advise nobody to bank at this primitive rural Wisconsin bank.

Member for 20+ years. My debit cards printed account # wore off in a few months, magnetic strip wore off over a year ago. My chip finally fell out 1 month before my replacement card was due to arrive. Since I had no way to access MY MONEY, I called TACU to ask if they would send me my new debit card immediately. Nope, they wouldn't send it early. They charged me $10 to replace my non-working debit card. I had no access to my account for 10 days while I waited for my replacement card. TACU does not care about their members. I am very disappointed with the way TACU has gone down hill.
Weekdays 9am–4pm typically have the shortest wait times for new member inquiries.
