This review might be lengthy but everything is accurate and documented on what I’m about to say. My family and myself have banked with sunlight for over a decade, within the last year they have managed to push my family and myself away from banking at sunlight for multiple reasons. A few months back I did a refinance on a vehicle to get my wife off the loan. After the paperwork was submitted to have her removed from the loan, sunlight was reporting her as the sole individual on the loan when legally she was not apart of the loan anymore. In discussions with sunlight afterward via email, they managed to say they “were fixing the issue” and would let me know when it was resolved. Fast forward a few months, I go to trade that vehicle in on another vehicle, they run the report and come to find out my interest rate gets raised to the roof because sunlight never reported me making a payment on the vehicle that was under MY name and solely under my name because they were reporting it in my wife’s name. Now fast forward a few more months, I go to do the refinance on the vehicle I just bought with the huge interest rate because of sunlights mistake and they say they could do a pretty reasonable rate. They ask me to fill out the app, which I do, and then I get a call back from someone who was completely disrespectful and proceeded to tell me that my new interest rate is going to be higher than the current one I had after just a week ago they told me it would be lower. This all started from sunlights initial screw up on my previous car deal. The lack of communication and the poor attention to detail is mind blowing to me. We were loyal customers and to be treated like we were garbage was the last straw for us. We canceled all our accounts with sunlight and we will never return. I hope anyone that is currently banking here is really paying attention to what is going on with there accounts. I don’t recommend banking here unless you want to deal with blatant disrespect and manipulation of your money. Sorry for the long review and I hope to open the eyes of individuals who are considering banking here.

I love this credit union! First account i ever opened and they have never let me down. Their staff is always friendly and helpful and I dont make it easy for them. A big shout out to Krystal for being awesome and helping me figure out why I had two charges and an overdraft fee! I left with just the one charge, overdraft protection and my card in tact! Thank you guys!

I’ve had a vehicle loan with this union for the last 6 years. What has been demonstrated to me by this organization, is the outstanding lack of attention to detail and professionalism. The loan has since been paid off, but Sunlight failed to cancel ACH. No problem. Call Sunlight, money will be back in a few days. 20 days later, money has not been reversed. There’s been several issues with this account, including not applying full ACH payments to the loan, ACH pulling after account was paid off, and other issues along the way. Each time I’ve called for resolution, I seem to have found the rudest individuals to speak to. I am so very happy this loan is paid off and I can sever this financial relationship permanently and never have to speak to anyone at Sunlight Federal Credit Union again.

I’ve banked here for ten years and was never disappointed in their service until now. I had a fraudulent transaction on my account and it has been incredibly frustrating dealing with them over this problem, by the bank manager’s own admission their fraud department is not very good and they are supposedly working on that. Due to my lack of confidence in them I will be looking for a new bank.

Employees are awesome and very helpful when I needed help to get back to my car and the teller helped me back out to my car, I'm so thankful for that,
